Keith Haring, New York, 1988
Keith Allen Haring was an american artist whose pop art, street art and sculpture graffiti-like work grew out of the New York City street culture of the 1980s. Haring organised Exhibitions in the early eighties at Club 57. The famous symbol of "The Radiant Baby" became his symbol. Haring established friendships with emerging artists of the time and is known for creating more than 50 public works through the 80s in cities around the world. In 1989 he established the Keith Haring foundation providing funding and imagery to AIDS organisations and children's programs.
