Francis Bacon, London, 1987

The picture is a little blurred the photographer a little drunk. Bacon ordered many bottles of Champagne and was very generous with his bottles. It was hard to keep up with him for many reasons, one of them was he was extraordinarily flamboyant with his hand gestures and as a result generally threw most of his drinks into the air, which meant that his companions drank three glasses for every one he consumed.
