Annie Lennox, Normandy, 1987
Annie Lennox shot in 1986 by Alastair Thain, for the cover of Eurythmics’ studio album Savage in 1987.
Savage was a turning point for Eurythmics as Dave Stewart put it “turn sharp left”, returning to a more experimental sound akin to their previous albums.
Annie Lennox has amassed a total of eight Brit Awards, where she won Best British Female Artist a record six times.
Although, her achievements go beyond that of a musician, but Lennox is also a political and social activist, most notably raising money and awareness for HIV/AIDS and its effect on women and children in Africa. Lennox has sold over 80 million records worldwide in her illustrious career.
